COURSE OBJECTIVE
This course is a second part of LPI Linux Administrator 1 which provides students with knowledge of performing maintenance tasks with the command line, installing & configuring a computer running Linux and configuring basic networking.

The course is designed for people who are:
- Responsible for providing basic installation, operation, and troubleshooting services on Linux workstations and servers.
- Interested in achieving the LPI 102 certification.
GAINING SKILLS
After completing this course, students will be able to:
- Working with shell and write simple scripts.
- Manage data using SQL data management tools.
- Working with user interfaces and desktops.
- Manage user and group accounts and related system files.
- Automate system administration tasks by scheduling jobs.
- Configure locale as well as timing settings and environment variables.
- Understanding system logging and successfully configure syslog.
- Being aware of the commonly available MTA programs and be able to perform basic forward and alias configuration on a client host.
- Manage print queues and user print jobs using CUPS and the LPD compatibility interface.
- Understanding and configuring TCP/IP network.
- Configure basic security settings.

Before attending this course, students must have:
- Basic knowledge about Linux operating system which are presented in LPI 101.
