To earn this Cisco certification, you must pass the following exam(s):

Option 1: CCNA Composite (200-125 CCNA)

This exam tests a candidate's knowledge and skills related to network fundamentals, LAN switching technologies, IPv4 and IPv6 routing technologies, WAN technologies, infrastructure services, infrastructure security, and infrastructure management.

Option 2: ICND1 and ICND2 (100-105 ICND1 & 200-105 ICND2)

This exam tests a candidate's knowledge and skills related to network fundamentals, LAN switching technologies, routing technologies, infrastructure services, and infrastructure maintenance;  LAN switching technologies, IPv4 and IPv6 routing technologies, WAN technologies, infrastructure services, and infrastructure maintenance.

 

ICND 1:

In this course, student will understand QoS, virtualization and cloud services, and network programmability related to WAN, access and core segments. You will learn how to install, operate, configure, and verify a basic IPv4 and IPv6 network, including configuring a LAN switch, configuring an IP router, and network functions of firewalls, wireless controllers and access points, along with additional focus on IPv6 and basic network security. You will prepare for the entry-level CCENT certification, which is the foundation for Cisco associate-level certifications and beyond.

ICND 2:

In this course, you will gain the knowledge and skills needed to install, configure, operate, and troubleshoot a small enterprise network. It will ensure that students understand and are ready to deploy the latest shifts in technologies and solutions as follows:

  • Understanding of Quality of Service (QoS) elements and their applicability.
  • How virtualized and cloud services will interact and impact enterprise networks.
  • An overview of network programmability and the related controller types and tools that are available to support software defined network architectures A full suite of labs have been developed using the virtual IOS environment with flexible topologies that reinforce concepts with hands-on, guided discovery and challenge labs that align to each lesson module.

 

Network technicians who configure and support internetworks. Individuals seeking CCNA Routing and Switching® certification and CCENT® certification. Management and sales people who need a working knowledge of modern networking.

Upon completing this course, the learner will be able to meet these overall objectives:

ICND1:

  • Network fundamentals and how to build simple LANs
  • Establish Internet connectivity
  • Manage network device security
  • Expand small to medium-sized networks with WAN connectivity
  • DescribeIPv6 basics 

 

ICND 2:

  • Operate a medium-sized LAN with multiple switches supporting VLANs, trunking, switch stacking, chassis aggregation and spanning tree protocols
  • Troubleshoot IP connectivity
  • Configure and troubleshoot EIGRP and OSPF in IPv4 and IPv6 environments
  • Define characteristics, functions and components of a WAN
  • Describe SNMP, Syslog, and manage Cisco device configurations, IOS images and licenses
  • Understand QoS, virtualization and cloud services, and network programmability related to WAN, access and core segments.

CCNA Routing and Switching certification

Before attending this course, students must have:

  • A basic understanding of networking fundamentals.
  • An awareness and understanding of security best practices.
  • An understanding of basic AD DS concepts.
  • Basic knowledge of server hardware.
